ABOUT S. POSNER SONS

HISTORY

In 1889, Samuel Posner started his family business, S. Posner Sons Inc. The company, which sold everything to service the retail, food, manufacturing, industrial and airline industries, would grow to become one of the largest distributors in the country. Samuel would eventually pass the business on to his four sons.

In 1950, the company went into the manufacturing of grocery bags for major American supermarkets, beginning a legacy in the bag manufacturing industry.

In 1960, Samuel Posner’s granddaughter, Joyce Mintzer came onboard, eventually climbing into the role of VP of Sales. Her efforts, concentrating on custom printed bags, boxes, ribbons and other printed collateral, focused on reinventing the business around high-end packaging, beautifying that which was inside. Involvement with clients began to expand into prestigious companies in retail, beauty, hotels, media and beyond. The clients have included Sotheby's, the Plaza Hotel, Bergdorf Goodman, Ferrari, FAO Schwartz and other upscale companies.

In 2011, Joyce took over the role of presidency of S. Posner Sons Inc. The strength of S. Posner Sons can be measured in many ways, but none is more indicative than S. Posner Sons Inc’s celebration of its 125th anniversary. This monumental milestone could not have been possible without providing customers with competitive pricing while still offering the utmost finest quality and service.
